The Zuni Pueblo people of northwest New Mexico are world renown for their creativity and skill in stone carving. Zuni fetishes are used for specific purposes such as healing, protection, hunting and fishing. These carvings are a delight to the eye and heart.
Each Carving comes with its own certificate of authenticity letting you know who the carver is and what materials are used to create these magnificent Zuni carvings.
This colorful turquoise coyote was carved by Navajo carver Jayne Quam who is the wife of Zuni fetish carver Lynn Quam. It features a swath of multi stone inlay around its side and accross its back. These bits of brightly colored stone and shell add charming dimension to this one of a kind piece.
