Saturday, September 21 - 11:00 am to 6:00 pm

& Sunday, September 22 - 11:00 am to 5:00 pm

We are so happy that our Yaqui sister, Debbie Martinez Rambeau, is coming back to Gathering Tribes.  If you haven't met Debbie, her mom and her dear friend, Maria, you are in for a real treat!  She is wonderfully talented with a heart of gold!  We'll let her tell you in her own words about her beautiful gourds:

"Tiny beads and turquoise stones on gourds burned with geometric and circular patterns create my work. I feel a completeness; a sense of self as a Yaqui and Chicana when working with gourds, silver, stones and beaded rosettes. Perhaps, it's the circular shapes, the archetypal circle that reflects the endless exploration of what my materials give back to me as I design them.  Certainly, the gourds, turquoise and beads tell me of my origins as a Yaqui and teach me to understand and appreciate my past traditions. Traditions which are given new birth with each gourd I complete."  You can out more about Debbie and her work at: http://www.fromearthtohand.com/index.html
