Corn Maiden Zuni Fetish Carving by Stuart Quandelacy

Corn Maiden Zuni Fetish Carving by Stuart Quandelacy

The Zuni Pueblo people of northwest New Mexico are world renown for their creativity and skill in stone carving.  Zuni fetishes are used for specific purposes such as healing, protection, hunting and fishing.  These carvings are a delight to the eye and heart. Each Carving comes with its own certificate of authenticity letting you know who the carver is and what materials are used to create these magnificent Zuni carvings. Corn Maidens represent all the wonderful qualities of women: nurturing, strength, creativity, wisdom, and more.

This wonderful corn maiden has the body of a seashell. Her face is turquoise and she has a base of mother of pearl. She was created by Zuni carver Stuart Quandelacy.
