Flourite Zuni Corn Maiden by Sandra Quandelacy

Flourite Zuni Corn Maiden by Sandra Quandelacy

The Zuni Pueblo people of northwest New Mexico are world renown for their creativity and skill in stone carving.  Zuni fetishes are used for specific purposes such as healing, protection, hunting and fishing. These carvings are a delight to the eye and heart.  Each carving comes with its own certificate of authenticity letting you know who the carver is and what materials are used.

Corn Maidens represent all that is special about being a woman: being loving, nurturing, kind, strong, and having great compassion. This lovely lavender corn maiden was carved by Zuni fetish carver Sandra Quandelacy. She is carved out of lavender flourite and has a coral heart and black dragonflies carved onto her sides.
