Labradorite Zuni Bird Fetish by Kateri Sanchez

Labradorite Zuni Bird Fetish by Kateri Sanchez

The Zuni Pueblo people of northwest New Mexico are world renown for their creativity and skill in stone carving.  Zuni fetishes are used for specific purposes such as healing, protection, hunting and fishing.  These carvings are a delight to the eye and heart.

Each Carving comes with its own certificate of authenticity letting you know who the carver is and what materials are used to create these magnificent Zuni carvings.

This charming bird was carved out of labradorite by Zuni fetish carver Kateri Sanchez. The medicine bundle on its back is composed of a pearl, bits of spiny oyster shell and quartz. The bird's eyes are red coral
