Mr. Jimenez lives in San Antonio Arrazola in Oaxaca.  His grandfather, Manuel Jimenez, is considered the founder of the woodcarving tradition of Oaxaca.  Armando carves the alebrijes and his talented wife, Antonia Carrillo, paints them.

Oaxacan (pronounced Wa-Haw-Ken) wood carvings are whimsical and enchanting art figures that captivated collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.

This colorful Reindeer measures 7 ¾ inches in length from bottom to tip of tallest antler and is 9 inches in length.
