Turquoise Petit Point Chandelier Earrings

Turquoise Petit Point Chandelier Earrings

Petit Point Jewelry was first created around 1920-1930 and was a unique form of turquoise jewelry created by the Zuni Indians. Navajo jewelers have adopted this intricate art form as well. A Petit Point stone is a tiny round, oval, rectangle, pear or square shaped stone hand cut and bezel set in silver. Multiple stones are grouped together in patterns that resemble needle point, thus the name. These lovely earrings are Navajo made and are long and dangly. The maker's initials can be found stamped on the back of the earring posts.
