Zuni Turquoise Corn Maiden Pendant by Claudia Peina

Zuni Turquoise Corn Maiden Pendant by Claudia Peina

The Zuni Pueblo people of northwest New Mexico are world renown for their creativity and skill in stone carving.  Zuni fetishes are used for specific purposes such as healing, protection, hunting and fishing. These carvings are a delight to the eye and heart.

Each carving comes with its own certificate of authenticity letting you know who the carver is and what materials are used to create these magnificent Zuni carvings.

Corn Maidens represent all that is good about being a woman: being loving, nurturing, kind, strong, and having great compassion. This sweet blue turquoise Corn Maiden pendant was carved by Zuni artist Claudia Peina. A few spots of coral inlay add to her charm. She hangs on a 16 inch sterling silver box chain.
